What does Neuro-Natural General do that the other 3 versions do not?
Neuro-Natural General is designed to help provide overall protection of your nervous and neurological systems, whereas the other 3 versions use a slightly different mix of ingredients to make them more effective in their specifically stated objectives.
What difference will I feel?
Neuro-Natural General is more about protection and prevention. If you are not currently suffering from a condition or symptom that one of our other neurological formulas will help, then this is for you. Improvements may well be noticeable in terms of quicker thinking and better short and long-term memory, due to increased cerebral blood flow and more restful sleep...plus an improved overall sense of well-being and nervous system function.
Why would I need to supplement if I am not suffering from a nervous system or neurological condition? Can I not get all the protection I need from my diet?
In recent decades the statistics for the occurrence of and mortality rate from diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntingdon’s, Epilepsy, and various conditions of the autonomic, central, and cranial nerves have continued to increase each year. Although a good health diet, fluid intake, and exercise regime is vitally important to health and to any supplement regime, this alone cannot provide enough protection due to the depletion of essential nutrients in our diets, and the speciality ingredients now needed for optimum health.
Neuro-Natural General, and our more specific Neuro-Natural range formulas, aim to supply these, in specific combination, for ultimate protection and performance, even as we age.
I have a stressful job and lifestyle, will Neuro-Natural General help me to perform better and keep my stress levels down, or should I take one of the other more specific Neuro-Natural range, or a combination of them?
We do not generally suggest taking more than one Neuro-Natural range product at a time. Neuro-Natural General is good to take for overall protection and improvement. However, if you find that your stress levels are particularly high, leading to anxiety, or depression; or you alternatively find that it is your performance and memory factor that is suffering more, then change to either Neuro-Natural Serenity or Neuro-Natural Memory for a while instead of Neuro-Natural General to give your body time to recover, whilst also of course doing all you can to reduce your stress and complications.
If you find that all areas are getting on top of you, then it is possible to take, for example, Neuro-Natural Serenity and Memory together, but in a half dose of each; or alternatively to take one of the formulas for 1 month on and 1 month off, in alternation with the other formula.
What you decide to do really depends on your individual circumstances and severity, and importantly the cause, of your condition. If you are unsure please contact us for more advice.
How should I take Neuro-Natural General?
To see the best and most rapid results we suggest that you follow our recommended protocol suggestion of 6 tablets per day, which equates to 2 bottles per month. It is not possible to estimate if and when you will notice a difference as everyone is individual. However, you can feel confident that the ingredients are 'doing their work' even if you cannot feel it.
I have a family history of nervous system disorders, will Neuro-Natural General stop me falling victim too?
As with any nutritional supplement or pharmaceutical medicine there is no guarantee of complete prevention against disease. However, by helping to protect your body’s vital functions, especially in areas of known genetic weakness or susceptibility, you are giving yourself a much better change of avoiding similar degenerative diseases.
Neuro-Natural General may help, alone or along with Total Balance, Omega 3/DHAs, plus a good diet and fluid intake, to not only protect your nervous and neurological functions, but to generally improve their strength and function.
What makes Neuro-Natural General different from similar anxiety and nervous system products on the market, such as St Johns Wort, for example?
Neuro-Natural General is a sophisticated and complex set of 49 ingredients, in very specific dosage to ensure each one works well with the others for best results. This is aimed at long-term use, rather than short-term single ingredient use.
Some of the ingredients in our range are elite components. Most companies leave these ingredients out due to their expense and the fact that some of the more vulnerable ones must to be enteric coated in order to make it to the system. As a good example, SAMe plays an essential role in more than 100 biochemical reactions involving enzymatic transmethylation (along with vitamins B6, B12, folic acid, and Betaine). It contributes to the synthesis, activation and metabolism of hormones, neurotransmitters, nucleic acids, proteins, and phospholipids.
SAMe is associated with increased serotonin turnover and elevated dopamine and norepinephrine levels. SAMe supplementation may also work by altering cellular membrane fluidity. Changes in neuronal membrane fluidity might facilitate signal transduction across membranes and increase the efficiency of receptor-effector coupling. Neuro-imaging studies indicate that SAMe actually affects the brain similarly to conventional antidepressants.
Our Neuro-Natural range has the advantage not only of having these ingredients included, but it is also enteric coated, ensuring that the vulnerable ingredients stay intact too, and are optimally absorbed.
I have heard that 5-HTP can have side effects and also interactions with many drugs. You have 100mg in your Neuro-Natural formula, is this safe? If so, why can I not just use 5-HTP on its own?
There is a theoretical possibility of an interaction between 5-HTP and some anti-depressant drugs (SSRIs). There are very few case reports to date of any adverse reactions however, in fact we have found no studies or articles in a well acknowledged database of clinical studies and medical articles. Nevertheless, there is a lot of information available on these alleged interactions, which is why we advise a cautionary note in the event that you are taking related medications.
Please check with us and with your physician prior to taking one of our Neuro-Natural range (or our Female Rejuvenator) so that we can advise on interactions and potential dosages. Having said all that, we believe the risk is very low with our supplements because of the low dose of 5-HTP that we use.
