Question: From Scott. (Subject: Drinking Water...)q1

In your most recent newsletter, you again mention to not drink tap water. You suggest a high quality water filter to take out all the impurities. Do you have any recommendations for water filters?

Answer: From Warren.

I'm sorry but we can't give you any specific recommendations for water filters as the brands vary from country to country.

I would suggest that you find a local company that specializes in water filters and who can present a wide range of filters specifically suited to your local water supply. They will have analyzed your local water supply and know exactly what is in it and as such be able to recommend the most suitable filter options as well as advising you which contaminants they will remove and which ones they won't.

Question: From Jackie. (Subject: Red Yeast rice extract...)q2

I want to know why your company does not sell red yeast rice when many other nutritionist's recommend it for lowering cholesterol naturally. Only one of the many, many articles I read about red yeast rice talked about side effects. I am presently taking your new product that lowers cholesterol but would like to know what advantage it has over red yeast rice?

Answer: From Nicolien.

Red yeast rice works in a similar way to statin drugs. It contains naturally occurring statin molecules (lovastatin), which also occur in oyster mushrooms. 2400mg of red yeast rice provides about 10mg of active statin molecules. Because the active ingredient is the same molecule as with statin drugs, it has a potential for side effects. It may also cause elevated liver enzymes and muscle wasting (rhabdomyolysis). Red yeast rice or statin drugs do not normally raise HDL levels which is desirable.

Our new cholesterol formula supersedes our previous product. All the ingredients have very strong clinical supporting data. We expect that this new product will set a world first in efficacy for a natural cholesterol lowering product. We anticipate that this product will be so effective at normalizing the body's production and absorption of cholesterol that it will only need to be taken for 12 months with occasional 'top ups'. If you haven't already done so you may like to check out the info and clinical studies on the various ingredients by clicking here.

Please note that the way in which we have combined the ingredients and the delivery system we are using results enhances the efficacy of the individual ingredients.

Question: From Chris. (Subject: Tinnitus.)q3q3

Would taking your product "Total Balance" be of any assistance to some one suffering from tinnitus (ringing in the ears)?

Answer: From Nicolien.

Regarding tinnitus, there are a few ingredients in Total Balance that may be helpful in tinnitus, these are gingko, manganese, and zinc, vitamin A and B12. I would say however that our Neurological Formula may be more helpful, as this contains higher doses of gingko and also has vinpocetine in the formula which may be especially helpful for your tinnitus. I have attached a PDF-file with some information on vinpocetine. You can also read more by clicking here.

You may like to know that caffeine seems to aggravate tinnitus. Other foods to decrease are: salt, alcohol, sugars, and chocolate. Foods you may like to increase are: manganese-rich foods, such as: cloves, cardamom, ginger, walnuts, wheat bran, whole wheat (if you are not allergic to wheat), spinach, parsley and oats.

You may be interested in having a look at this website. It was recommended to me by someone who has received a lot of benefit from the sound therapy they offer. He said to tell you that the website is no reflection on the effectiveness of the therapy (it doesn't look very professional). Apparently about 80 - 90% of people who use sound therapy benefit from it. Here's the URL for their website:

If you would like some more information on sound therapy from someone who uses it, let me know, so I can refer you.
