Question: From Parivash. (Subject: Blood sugar levels...)q1

Do you have any product to help lower blood sugar?

Answer: From Nicolien.

If you have high blood sugar levels you should receive benefit from our multi nutrient Total Balance (TB), which is designed to balance and optimize our overall health, as well as balance blood sugar levels.

This product is not specifically aimed at diabetes in particular but it is an excellent anti-oxidant product, with a whole range of synergistically acting nutrients, such as policosanol, vitamin C, E, selenium, copper, manganese, potassium, zinc, lipase, betaine, beta carotene, beta glucans, bioflavonoids, DIM, DMG, hesperidin, lutein, naringin, rutin, quercetin, Tocotrienols, zeaxanthin, resveratrol, alpha lipoic acid, L-carnosine, L-cysteine, lycopene, L-taurine, myricetin, beta glucan, tea polysaccarides, mahonia grape, green tea, red clover, gotu kola, black cumin, ginger, gingko, hawthorne, myrrh, soy isoflavones, turmeric, olive leaf and bilberry.

We also include chromium which helps to lower blood sugar levels and other essential trace minerals.

For more details on the ingredients please click here.

You may also benefit from our Omega 3/DHA fish oil soft gels, as fish oil can improve blood sugar balance. For more info please click here.

As a point of interest we have developed a new very special formula specifically for diabetics which may interest you. This goes a lot further than just balancing blood sugar. It will help in the production and use of insulin. We are hoping to be able to release this new formula in the not too distant future.

Your diet can also play a part in improving your blood sugar levels. Try to avoid eating sugar and refined carbohydrates such as white flour, cookies, cakes, white bread, pasta etc and processed foods. Eat plenty of protein-foods such as lean meat, fish, poultry, tofu, eggs, etc, and eat fiber rich foods such as oats, bran, psyllium and fresh garlic.

Avoid transfats and hydrogenated oils (deep fried foods, chips, cookies, margarine, fast food). Warren Matthews has also written about this subject in our Weight Loss report. You can find this on our website under special reports.

Question: From Lisa. (Subject: Osteopenia...)q2

I recently stopped taking medication to treat my high cholesterol because I wanted to try and conceive. Since then my cholesterol has jumped right back up, I wanted to find an alternative treatment if possible. Is your cholesterol lowering formula safe to take while trying to conceive, and while pregnant/nursing?

As with the RX, are there any foods that I should avoid while taking your product (ie. grapefruit, etc.)

How does your product interact with Synthroid? With Wellbutrin XL?

Answer: From Nicolien.

There is no problem using our natural cholesterol formula prior to becoming pregnant. However, after you become pregnant there is a standard rule that we must follow and that is we cannot recommend supplements at all. (Except for our Omega 3 DHA/Esters.) At that stage it becomes the responsibility of the customer to refer the supplements that they are using to their physician for approval.

It is very common for people to experience a significant spike in their cholesterol levels when they come off a statin drug. For this reason we recommend a gradual easing off them over a 3 - 4 month period. This is normally successful.

In your case I feel that our Natural Cholesterol Formula is your best bet in helping get your cholesterol levels under control again. You can get a lot more info on this product by clicking here.

You could also print out some of the material and give it to your physician to advise if you can continue it after you become pregnant.

I would also suggest that you consider adding our Omega 3/DHA fish oil to your supplement regime. Not only is it safe while you are pregnant but because it contains high levels of DHA it is very good for the baby's brain development as well as for yourself. For more info click here.

Along with our Cholesterol Formula it may be helpful in helping to lower triglyceride levels and has a cardio-protective effect. I would suggest you take 2 soft gels daily.

There are no foods that you should avoid when taking the Cholesterol Formula. It is best taken 30 - 60 minutes before the evening meal. There are no known interactions with Synthroid or Wellbutrin, although it is best to leave a gap of at least 3 hours between taking the CF or any other supplements (other than the Omega 3) and your prescription medications.

Question: From Andy. (Subject: Sarcoidosis...)q3

I recently came across your website and I am interested in your products. There are details regarding a number of different products and I wondered if you believe any of them may help me. I am a sarcoidosis sufferer and have a number of symptoms including fatigue and outbreaks of uveitis.

I have been told about a product called Pure Synergy which is said to be a good all round product for general health. I wondered if you have heard of this product? Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Answer: From Nicolien.

Unfortunately none of our products will be directly helpful for sarcoidosis.

Our Total Balance is probably the best natural supplement in the world today for promoting good general health. In this regard it is fair to say that it is a much more effective product than the Pure Synergy that you refer to which is a wholefood product, mainly made of dried powdered algae, seaweeds and fruits, with a very small amount of powdered herbs added.

In this regard it is certainly not as potent and my suggestion would be that you use our Total Balance as the foundation for your supplement program combined with our Omega 3/DHA.

Many customers report improvements regarding their fatigue levels after using the Total Balance. However, in cases of severe fatigue it is probably worth trying our Natural Energy Formula, either in conjunction with the other two products I mentioned, or on its own.

With regard to uveitis, you could find that an eyewash with Eyebright (a herb) may be helpful.
