Question: From Ernest. (Subject: Enteric coating...)q1
Have just received my order. Please let me know the meaning of "enteric coating".
What are the ingredients of this coating?
Answer: From Nicolien.
The enteric coating makes sure all ingredients in the tablets are highly bio-available. It protects the tablet from acids and enzymes during its journey through the stomach. After passing through the stomach into the upper intestine the pH levels change from acid to alkaline and the enteric coating disintegrates within 10 - 20 minutes followed by the total disintegration of the tablet thus releasing the active ingredients.
There are very few natural supplements using this delivery system because it is an expensive process. It is however common with sophisticated pharmaceutical drugs.

The coating we use is the enteric coating as supplied from Colorcon in the US (http://www.colorcon.com/). It is an inactive polymer which passes through the body with no residue.

Question: From Mark. (Subject: CoQ10...)q2
Do you plan on offering any Coenzyme Q10 products?
Answer: From Nicolien.
Thanks for your enquiry. Regarding CoQ10, you may like to know that our multi-nutrient Total Balance helps the body to manufacture CoQ10. This is much more effective than taking it as a normal capsule because CoQ10 (which is a synthetic in supplements) is very susceptible to damage when passing through the stomach with only a small percentage of it being bio-available.
For this reason we have no plans to produce a separate CoQ10 product.
Note: From Warren.
We have regular questions on this subject so I am in the process of preparing a newsletter devoted to this subject in order to help our readers better understand the mechanisms behind CoQ10 and how they can get the benefits of this valuable nutrient in a more economic and effective way than taking the supplement itself. Hope to have this ready by the end of this week.

Question: From Jane. (Subject: Mango...)q3
Is there a mango product that can help joint swelling in the hands? I have been told there is but I can not find any information about it. Thanks!
Answer: From Nicolien.
I am not familiar with any mango-products. Do you mean mangosteen? With regard to the Mangosteen fruit, this is becoming more popular, probably due to the efforts of an MLM company that is promoting it. Although I am sure that the Mangosteen fruit has some good active ingredients, they may be limited in their range of action. I feel that this product is high in hype but somewhat weak in substance. It is not in the same category as a scientifically put together supplement such as, for example, our new Arthrit-Eze.
I will attach a file with information about mangosteen from a good natural medicine database.
With regard to joint swelling in the hands, you may be well advised to consider our new Arthrit-Eze. This is a very strong natural anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritis product. For details please click here.
