Question: From William. (Subject: Cholesterol results...)q1
I have been taking the "Natural Cholesterol Formula" for the past 4 months. As an honest test for your product I changed nothing, not my diet or exercise and I have just received the results that my total cholesterol level has dropped a total 26%.( 225 to 164) That was taking the recommended 2 tablets per day.
I will be placing a further order as I have about a one months supply remaining. I am conducting the second trial of taking one table per day and increasing the exercise program and struggling to change my diet.
Response: From Nicolien.
Thanks for sharing your good results with us.
Here are a few suggestions of some foods that you may find beneficial to include in your diet.
They are all low in cholesterol but contain good protein: chicken (preferably organic), legumes, raw walnuts, almonds, and fish.
Other good foods to include are apples, carrots (organic only), bananas, dried beans, oats and oat bran, psyllium, raw garlic, grapefruits and (not heated) olive oil.
With regard to the formula you may well now be able to reduce your daily dose to just one softgel... Also, plan to give the supplement a 'break' for 2 weeks before resuming. At a level of 164 total cholesterol it is now very low. We feel that a healthy level is between 180 - 200, (too little cholesterol can be as bad as too much). So, I would suggest that you keep an 'eye' on it and have breaks so that you can maintain the level around 180.

Question: From Emily. (Subject: Son's concentration...)q2
I am changing my order this month to one of your neurological formulas for my son. I need your help in choosing which one, since you have several now. He has trouble focusing sometimes with his school work.
Answer: From Nicolien.
The best option for your son is undoubtedly our new Neuro-Natural Memory. He can take 3 tablets a day.
This formula is perfect for this type of problem, and is suitable for children from age 10 upwards.
If he is not already taking our Omega 3/DHA, I would suggest that you add it to his daily supplement regime. These two combined should give him some real benefits.

Question: From Ron. (Subject: Prescription Drug Interactions)q3
The following are the meds my mother is taking on a daily basis:
Glucophage (500mg), 2 - AM and 2 - PM
Amaryl (2mg), 1 - AM
Omeprazole (20mg), 1 - AM
Ziac (2.5mg), 1 - AM
Digitek (125 mcg), 1 - AM
Coumadin (2mg), 2 - PM
Amiodarone (200mg), 1 - AM and 1 - PM
Too many meds as far as I'm concerned. I would love for her not have to take so many!
If things look okay as far as taking the Xtend-life products listed below, please send them sooner than August 29th if possible. I know my father is looking forward to taking these supplements. Thanks so much for your help. Please don't hesitate to ask me any more questions.
Answer: From Nicolien.
Regarding Total Balance (TB) Women's Plus and the Cholesterol Formula (CF) for your mother, I can unfortunately not make a recommendation with regard to the combination of these products and most of your Mum's medications, because of the number of prescription medications she is taking.
In the best interests of our customers we have to adhere to a policy of referring the customer back to their physician when they are taking more than three or four prescription drugs.
We can check if the supplements are OK with each individual drug but when there are multiple drugs involved then things get complicated because of potential interactions between the drugs themselves. Sometimes the physicians are aware of these interactions... sometimes not.
May I suggest that you print out the ingredient list for the product/products that you would like your Mum to use and discuss it with her physician.
What I can tell you is that our Total Balance cannot be combined with Coumadin (Warfarin). This is a drug that reacts with many substances due to its very potent anti-thrombotic (blood thinning) action, causing a potential for bleeding. However, it is compatible with our Cholesterol formula. Should your Mum start to use any of our products ask her to leave a gap of 2 - 3 hours between taking them and the prescription medicines. The Cholesterol Formula is best taken 30 - 60 minutes before the evening meal.
Regarding our Omega 3/DHA Esters, there are no known interactions with prescription drugs. Your Mum can take 2 of these soft gels per day OK.
